Johnny Morris,Fishguard RNLI Mourns Local Photographer and Devoted Supporter
It is again with great sadness that RNLI Fishguard Lifeboat learns of the passing of local photographer and devoted supporter Johnny Morris.
For many years, Johnny served as the station’s unofficial chronicler, capturing the very essence of its life and work. His lens documented a vast array of station activity: from formal crew photos and lively fundraising events to the pivotal arrival of our current D-Class inshore lifeboat. His camera also turned towards countless other community happenings, forever linking the lifeboat station to the heart of the town he loved.

Johnny’s photographs were more than mere records; they were a testament to the camaraderie, dedication, and spirit that defines the RNLI here in Fishguard. Through his images, he told our story, sharing it with supporters and preserving it for future generations.
As a mark of respect and profound gratitude for his lasting contribution, the flag over the lifeboat station will continue to be flown at half-mast. We extend our deepest condolences to Johnny’s family and friends. His supportive presence will be greatly missed, but the visual legacy he leaves behind will ensure his memory remains vividly a part of our station’s story.
