According to FHP reports, Leyden was driving a Nissan Xterra northbound when he lost control. The vehicle entered the median, rotated, and overturned multiple times. The violent rollover ejected Leyden from the SUV. Despite emergency response, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, were also in the Xterra. They sustained minor injuries in the crash. The investigation into the exact cause is ongoing, with FHP focusing on factors like speed and road conditions.
