Antoine Richard Missing Found Deceased,ody Found in Lake Dunstan Believed to be Missing French National
A body discovered in Cromwell’s Lake Dunstan on Wednesday afternoon is believed to be that of missing 21-year-old French national, Antoine Richard. The body was found by a member of the public just after 2.30pm during the ongoing search for the young man.
Antoine was last seen at Cromwell’s Victoria Arms Hotel on March 21. While formal identification is yet to be completed, police have stated they believe the body to be his. The death will be referred to the Coroner.
The news has deeply affected the local community, particularly the Cromwell Rugby Football Club, where Antoine was a respected and valued member. The club acknowledged his passing with great sadness, noting his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A moment of silence was held in his honour at the club’s first game of the season last night.
