Authorities have identified a 90-year-old Bluffton woman who died following a vehicle incident in Beaufort County, South Carolina, as Helen Connors.
According to the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Officials reported that Connors was driving a vehicle when it left the roadway and entered the water at 3 South Beach Lagoon Drive.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of the crash. Upon arrival, crews worked to assess the situation and recover the vehicle from the lagoon.
The Coroner’s Office confirmed that Connors died as a result of drowning.
