Authorities have identified the man who died following injuries sustained in a house fire in Evansville, Indiana, as Glen Vandever, 66.

According to officials, firefighters responded to a reported house fire in the 1500 block of Monroe Avenue on Saturday, March 21. Upon arrival, crews found Vandever outside the residence. He was treated at the scene for what were initially described as minor burns before being transported to a specialized burn center in Louisville for further medical care.
Despite receiving treatment, officials confirmed that Vandever later died on Monday, March 30, as a result of his injuries. The Coroner’s Office stated that the cause of death was complications from inhalation burns sustained during the fire.
Emergency responders worked to manage the scene and provide assistance at the time of the incident, while investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the fire.
